Our company boasts a long entrepreneurial tradition which started in 1920.

Alfonso Esposito, father of the other four partners, had great knowledge about  and a big passion for the processing  of the red chilli pepper, this passion gave life to an wide range of products that were commercialised with the brand "Macina Rossa" "Red Millstone".

With time this entrepreneurial activity extended to many other garden vegetables, vegetables and aromatic herbs, thus the brand "la gustosa" "the tasty" was born.

Imepa is the result of a wide entrepreneurial vision of Alfonso’s children, who, with enthusiasm, in 1998 thought of joining the two brands considerably widening the range of the processed products.

Today a steady growth of the company alongside with considerable investments in quality and technology have made Imepa one of the most accredited European companies in this field.

Our market mainly deals with B2B: big bakeries, foodstuff companies, oil-mills, delicatessen factories, etc., however, some of our products are also available for home consumption, and we also provide an assorted line of ready-made, natural dishes, which have a genuine taste.

Still nowadays, though we use technologically advanced equipment, for processing we employ the simple technique of drying, the only one which allows a natural preservation of the products, thus avoiding the use of artificial treatment.

This guarantees the unaltered preservation of the properties and intense taste of products which are delicious from the start; this is the reason why our ingredients can really make the difference.
